I finally saw Materialists the other night. This isn’t going to be a movie review, but overall, I thought it was a pretty fun watch. I laughed a lot, teared up a tiny bit, and loved the cinematography, music, and styling. We all have very unique relationships with love and money, so I wonder if that’s why I’ve heard so many divided opinions. I haven’t seen Past Lives yet, so that’s on my must-watch list for July.

Hope you’re all having an amazing start to the month. My plans for the long weekend are reading, getting hot dogs from Meat Hook, and watching a movie at Metrograph with my friends.

June’s Small Pleasures

I had a lot of great flour tortillas this month, thanks to Little Dreams in Brooklyn. They’re selling homemade tortillas and salsa out of their apartment, and you should follow them to see when their next drop is.
My friends and I had a girls’ trip to the Catskills. I got attacked by so many mosquitoes, but we had the best time making breakfast, fishing, antiquing, and watching movies.
I finally replaced my 4-year-old Crocs with these cute Everlane suede sandals as my house shoes. I work from home, so I love feeling more put together with these. I just got the Sand color at regular price, but now THEY’RE ON SALE! Hate that for me, but love it for you. <3
You need to go to the movies by yourself at least once a month.
There’s a wiggly chair in my bedroom now. Sometimes it has books, sometimes it has a pile of clothes. It’s the best.
At work, we launched our THERAPY offering! It’s always the best feeling putting something out there after months (and years) of work. So if you need a new therapist…

This was a good month for eBay book finds, like Interiors by Tim Street-Porter and Selected Poems by Fernando Pessoa.
I got a subscription to Neptune Papers. They’re a magazine covering great interiors and great conversations.
All of my wavy and curly-haired friends have been swearing by the Odele Air Dry Styler and the shampoos and conditioners. As someone with crazy frizzy hair, I needed to try it, and I get it now. The humidity has been insane, so my hair’s still frizzy, but it’s helped with volume and curl definition.
