For the last few days, I was in a cabin next to a lake with my long-time friends and dog, Noguchi. The cabin was magical, with a pastel purple dining room, yellow kitchen, and red-orange living room. The colors somehow all worked and reminded me that I’m overdue on painting my apartment. There is something so joyous about being surrounded by colorful walls. I think the dining room single-handedly made me like purple.
By the way, if you ever find yourself near the Livingston Manor area, you need to stop by Town & Country Antiques in a small town named Liberty. There were lots of vintage and antique gems in there. Lamps, dinnerware, vases, furniture, small objects, brooches, all the things.
When we were done exploring the main floor, we saw an entire basement filled with even more treasures. I came across many lovely pieces and it made me think about how it’s almost a year since I wrote one of my most-read pieces on collecting objects.
In honor of objects, it only makes sense to put together a list of beautiful secondhand and vintage finds for your home. I’m going to make this a regular monthly roundup for paid readers. You can upgrade for $5/mo—basically the same as your favorite pastry!!! A lot of time and care go into this newsletter every week in addition to my full-time job, so if you wish to further support, consider becoming a paid reader to *fully* access more posts like these. If that’s not possible right now, every like and share and comment still makes my day. And I’ll always have free monthly posts, so that’s not changing. ✿
In this letter: objects for your walls, kitchen, living room, and shelves. Plus, the movies I’m watching this month and an art & design store you need to visit. Enjoy!

Folk Horse Relief, $240— I may not be a real horse girl but I love a wood carving. We don’t always have to hang paintings on our walls. We can hang objects or small wood carvings instead! And this is a perfect example of that.
