When I got back to New York City a couple of weeks ago, I did the thing I had been meaning to do for 6 months: develop my film.
I had 5 rolls of film but I only remembered the contents of one of them. So I knew I was going to be pleasantly surprised. Looking through photos and instantly being taken back to that moment that happened months ago—there is nothing better. Here are a few of my favorite moments that were captured.
A view of the Arno in Florence on a sunny but cloudy day. The golden reflection and dark blue clouds felt surreal.
Aaron bought fruits for a still life he had to draw. When I woke up the next morning, the sun was shining bright on the fruit bowl.
I had the best strawberries of my life from a little fruit stand next to the apartment we stayed at in Paris. I took this before devouring these strawberries.
The most peaceful weekend in the Catskills during peak fall season. Small, cozy cabins are my favorite places.
Aaron walked past an old bookstore in Florence that ended up becoming one of our favorites.
A sunset that my family and I enjoyed in El Salvador. This is a view I’ve loved ever since I was a kid.
Carolina and Chandler surrounded by candles and good food (not pictured). That day, we made roast chicken, butternut squash soup, apple crisp, veggies, and hot chocolate. ⚜
