I went to Cape May about 10 years ago and loved it, as well. Some of the small things that bring me joy are: buying & arranging flowers from Trader Joe’s (currently obsessed with Butterfly Ranunculus, Chamomile & Star of Jerusalem). I also love making cold-brew tea in my fridge (I really love Rishi teas, especially Chamomile Medley & Greek Mountain - both are incredibly refreshing). And i love spending the late summer evenings in my garden, watching the bees enjoying the lavender & pollinating my vegetables & herbs, as well as tracking various birds, raptors & deer that roam our neighborhood (I live in Salt Lake City). Oh, and I love fresh squeezed lemon in sparkling mineral water, over ice with some mint.

Lately, I've been enjoying chamomile or peppermint tea in my cat-lover cup, contemporary literature, long walks through nature while looking for animals (I love seeing bunnies! It's rare, but they are so cute!), rainy days, fruity wine, and playing The Sims or Legend of Zelda.

I treasure my weekly treat of one (1) cinnamon roll from Radio Bakery down the street from my office. I’ve also been spending free afternoons birdwatching in McGolrick park, fall migration can’t come soon enough🪽🪽

What brings me the most joy are the little gestures that make the people I love themselves. The smile my dad gives when he makes a joke, the way my grandma looks at me when she tells me she’s proud, and the way my boyfriends voice changes when he talks to me

Things bringing me joy lately: espresso tonicos, trips up to the mountains, icy cold martinis on especially hot days, my wine colored sateen sheets, sleeping in said sheets with my cat snuggled beside me

iced pourovers, sunset fetch with my dog, 7am Saturdays with a book and coffee in the living room, late night water colors have all filled my summer with much joy

Hi Sandy!

Some of the things that bring me joy are simple and easy. A good cup of coffee from my neighborhood coffee shop, a yummy blueberry muffin, a mauve-brown lipstick, and a nice little walk around the city with my friends or family!

ooo I love a tiny delight. Mine at this current moment are red wine in my blue wine glasses, collecting shells during lowtide, adding nutella to acai bowls, using the honey that my husband's parents harvested when we cook, reading out loud, and taking polaroids and putting them on our fridge with pasta magnets!

Eee so exciting. Something that has been giving me joy is my job. I recently began a new position after leaving a not so great experience, and my co-workers are a life force of balance and laughter. I am learning so much about everyday life like gardening, and cooking from conversations with the people I work with and their presence brings so much light into my life. Im grateful for this new opportunity and to be in a place that brings hope, joy and encouragement.

I love reading all of these! A few things that bring me joy: backyard birds, big salads w/ lots of cheese & crunchy things, long runs by bodies of water, a day with no plans & a good book.

I just love reading your newsletter so much and it makes me more appreciative of my small things...lighting a big candle in the morning on a rainy day like today, my cat sitting next to me while I work, my first espresso in the morning, learning something new for the first time in a long time on my guitar, platonic sleepovers with girlfriends. it Is the small pleasures <3
